How could I not completely fall in love with Hannah Werning’s work? She is very well known now – I first remember seeing her work in Melbourne years ago, and her work has since appeared on many applications – wallpaper, stationery, textiles etc. I think her work is like a catchy melody – apparently sweet, effortless and simple, but there is still lots of experimentation here we can’t see…the development is invisible….

I have recently discovered the exquisite work of Joshua Yeldham. Yeldham mills his own paper and then paints, prints and carves into the paper, creating a textured and layered surface. His work is also relevant to me for his hybridisation of Eastern disciplines and modes of working with Australian motifs and imagery. His first solo international show will be this year in China at The Space Gallery…
