36 Ashe Silk swatches
29 Sep 2015
Being a textile designer is a wonderful thing. Patterns, colours, rhythms, contrasts, interiors, motifs, fashion, objects, textures, tactility…these are my everyday ponderings…These are 36 Ashe silk swatches I recently gave to Akira Isogawa in April as part of a Fabric collection book. He told me at Telstra Perth Fashion Festival in September when I saw him, that he keeps them on his desk. Nice!

Kelsey Ashe meets Jimmy Choo!
01 Apr 2015
The one and only Jimmy Choo. The “Jimmy Choo Master Class” at Curtin University yesterday was pretty amazing. Over the span of a day we were taught about making shoes and the making of the icon Jimmy Choo, illustrating shoes and marketing products. I was sponsored to attend the event by Curtin University’s Fashion Department. What a beautiful soul he is! We were able to workshop our own creations and he absolutely loved my Ashe clutch purses and the print designs I use on them. Great Day!
Preparing Textile Design Swatches
05 Mar 2015
There are so many Ashe prints. They morph and change and grow. Each season new motifs are added and mixed with others. Colours change and new palettes are developed. This textile range was made with Akira Isogawa in mind as I have loved his fashion collections for many many years. I’m hoping to show these as part of a large range I am putting together to show Akira in April. Very exciting as I now have a confirmed appointment – during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week – so I will hopefully get to see his Catwalk event while I’m there in Sydney!
