Florence Broadhurst Original Silk Screens in action!
16 Apr 2015
Here I am printing a piece of “Japanese Floral” from the original silk screen of Florence Broadhurst from the 70s. Because of my love and research for the work of Florence, custodians @signatureprints, David and Helen Lennie allowed me to print and take home this precious piece of Australian design history. Normally only new screens are used to preserve the older archive, so I’m feeling very very lucky right now! In fact when I asked David if he usually allowed people to print from the original screens he said “No, never. Not ever”. I think Florence must have been there in spirit today urging him on to share this with me!

Merry Christmas to you all out there and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things in 2014!

Welcome to 2013, the year of the snake!
01 Mar 2013
Welcome to 2013 – Year of the Water Snake! According to Chinese Astrology 2013 is the Year of the Snake whose colours are black and green – one of my favourite colour combinations. My Chinese Astrological sign is also the Snake so I am looking forward to a creative year influenced by the Snake’s mobility, dynamism, and changeability – it’s exciting stuff for my creative soul! Here is a sneak peak of a print from my new ASHE collection coming out in February – it’s called “Sacred Temple” and depicts a floating world washed in green. Happy New Year to you all – may the Snake bring you a year where anything is possible!

Ashe featured in “Fashion Futures”
05 Apr 2012
Just released by Merrell Publishers – is the beautiful glossy tome – “Fashion Futures” by Bradley Quinn. With internationally profiled designers, I feel extremely priveleged to be featured in this book as a designer interested in using sustainable materials. The book is a thought-provoking overview of how fashion will look, perform and be manufactured and purchased in the twenty-first century. Also featured is the beautiful work of Sheree Dornan – a long time friend and fellow designer with very similar interests to mine. Vunderbar!
