Preparing Textile Design Swatches
05 Mar 2015
There are so many Ashe prints. They morph and change and grow. Each season new motifs are added and mixed with others. Colours change and new palettes are developed. This textile range was made with Akira Isogawa in mind as I have loved his fashion collections for many many years. I’m hoping to show these as part of a large range I am putting together to show Akira in April. Very exciting as I now have a confirmed appointment – during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week – so I will hopefully get to see his Catwalk event while I’m there in Sydney!
Ashe Easel Clutch bags for Belgium Store Graanmarkt13
16 Aug 2014
Some exciting things have been happening lately…synchronicities…dreams coming true! Ashe has been invited by world class art director and sceneographer Bob Verhelst (who has curated Cartier, Hermes, Maison Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester, Yohi Jamamoto just to name but a few..) to send a range of my clutch bags to leading Belgium concept store Graanmarkt13. My pieces will be sitting alongside the likes of KENZO and Maison Martin Margiela! I knew they were special, but this is just next level! The range will be shown to the public for the first time in September at Perth Fashion Festivals “Fashioning Forms – The Craft of making”…

Wall Decals and printed silk
20 Jul 2011
Another print from this collection includes this blue silk Pampas Grass print and Grid Obe. The embossed wall decal behind Angie is another fun thing I am playing with at the moment!
Draping Silk on the body
26 Jun 2011
I am drawn to the simplest of clothing shapes – scarves and sarrongs that can be draped and played with upon the body. Silk allows a freedom to drape without adding bulk and endless possibilities for layering colours. Here I have layered a beautiful Fuschia Silk Crepe de Chine with a linen Obe.
